I certainly did not expect Venice to be flooded with tourists. It was August though; what was I thinking? As I scoured the neighborhood for a place for dinner, I ventured to a few restaurants I had researched beforehand. To my shock, they were both closed for holiday break. I was a bit disappointed to say the least. I always wondered why some of the most popular establishments took holiday during the busiest times. You would think that they would benefit from all of the other vacationers. Guess they just do not want to deal with the chaos. I certainly can not blame them! As I wondered aimlessly around the city I stumbled upon Bacaro Osteria Barababao, a non-touristy eatery with the meal I am still talking about.
